Last Days of Summer Bucket List

August 22, 2017 0 Comments

As of today, there is officially one month left of my favorite time of the year: Summer. I do my best to make the most of my days because the years slip by so quickly. In doing that, I have noticed that it comes so much more easily to me if I just plan things out. I am not the type of mom who wakes up one morning and says, “Pack up! Let’s go to the beach.” If you are, you amaze me. Teach me your ways. Our summer got a slow start this year, because the only thing on the calendar was “Have a Baby.” There is no way I am going to let summer slip by that easy, so here is our end of summer bucket list and a free printable, so you can make your own!

» The Pool

Our summer has definitely been lacking in this area. So, I am making sure we get at least one more relaxing day next to some sparkling water.

» The Beach

Speaking of sparkling water, I can’t believe we moved to California and haven’t hit the beach yet! This one is already on the calendar. Hawaii, here we come!

I’m hoping for one last, big end of summer BBQ. I’m not a party thrower (or really a party goer), but kids running through the sprinklers while skewers are sizzling and friends are smiling in the shade just sounds right.

» Picnic

Last year’s picnic was actually Chipotle at the park. I’m cool with a repeat of that one. #notapinterestmom

» Splash Park

My kids are obsessed with the splash park and we haven’t tried any of the ones in our new town. This one made the list, just for my girls.

» Camping

This one made the list, just for me. I’m not about to take our newborn tent camping, but I think a backyard camping trip will be perfect this year. S’Mores are a must.

» Shaved Ice

I grew up with pretty hot summers and shaved ice stands were a staple of my childhood. I am bound and determined to find myself some good shaved ice in this area, but even if I don’t, I know Hawaii has some!

What about you guys? What are some of your favorite summer activities? Don’t miss out! Download this free printable and make your own summer bucket list before we start wearing boots and sipping pumpkin lattes.
